![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The reading of the “Manzil Dua” has been confirmed to be extremely effective for protection against the evil influence of Jinn, Sihr (witchcraft, sorcery etc.) and other evils. The noble leader of the Ambiya, Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم), has taught us a du’a for every occasion of our religious and worldly needs, In the experience of the scholars reciting of certain Ayaat and Du’a for particular purposes has also been experienced to be successful. In the formula of these amaliyaat (reciting of certain ayah and dua for a particular purpose), preference must be given to the Qur’an and ahadith. Undoubtedly the ayah of the Qur’an and the dua that is mentioned in the ahadith are more effective and beneficial than the wearing of a ta’aweez. It was customary to make special arrangements for children to commit this “Manzil” to memory. The elders were particularly punctual in reciting it from amongst other dua and formulas for protection and cure. It is recommended that it should simply be recited once in the morning and once in the evening. The collection has been recommended by the likes of Allama Shah Waliullah Dehlawi (May Allah have mercy upon him) and Shaykh Muhammad Zakariya al‐Kandahlawi (May Allah have mercy upon him). This collection is popularly referred to as Manzil. ![]() Shykh Muhammad Zakariya al‐Kandahlawi (May Allah have mercy upon him) collected these verses in book form, which were already in use in his family as an antidote to witchcraft. This is a collection of Verses and short Surah’s from the Quran that are to be recited as a means of protection and cure from Black Magic, Jinn, Shayateen, Witchcraft, Sihr, Sorcery, Evil Eye and the like as well as other harmful things.
